About the speaker: 

Mr. Tran Dinh Luan is presently director general of Directorate of Fisheries concurrently Director of Institute of Economics and Fisheries Planning. He has a Dr.scient. in aquatic and animal breeding and genetics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and an MSc in Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management from The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT Thailand). He has

research experience of more than 12 years in the area of aquatic breeding genetics and experimental biology at Research Institute for Aquaculture No1 - Vietnam. From 2009, he has been in charge of the management positions respectively Deputy

Director of Aquaculture Research Institute 1, Deputy Director of Veterinary Department, Director of Aquaculture Department, Deputy Director of Soc Trang Agriculture and Rural Development Department, Deputy Directorate General of Directorate of Fisheries, Director General of Directorate of Fisheries. Mr. Luan has been assigned to concurrently serve as Director of the Institute of Fisheries

Economics and Planning from March 2022.
