Alexia Akbay is the CEO and Founder of Symbrosia, a CleanTech compny dedicated to reducing methane emissions in livestock through the use of innovative seaweed feed additives (Asparagopsis taxiformis). With a Master’s from Yale and a Bachelor's in Chemistry from NYU, Alexia has secured over $17M in venture and grant funding to propel Symbrosia's success. Recognized in Forbes 30 under 30 in Social Impact, she leads her team in pioneering sustainable solutions for the agricultural industry. Her signature is driving innovation (both in the lab and the field) by designing human-centered incentive systems.

SeaGraze® reduces livestock methane emissions by over 80% and improves feed conversion efficiency by up to 15%. Its active ingredient, bromoform, inhibits methane production during digestion, enabling producers to meet sustainability goals while enhancing profitability. The primary product, SeaGraze® Oil, offers standardized bioactive concentrations, improved shelf life, and optimized usability, making it ideal for controlled feeding systems.
