About the speaker: 

Naidu has about 40 years of experience in the Australian agriculture industry, after completing a PhD from the Waite Institute, the University of Adelaide. He worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland, Senior Scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Principal Policy Officer at Queensland State Government and a Vice President in private industry. Areas of current work include policy advice, and program management to reduce emissions in the agriculture sector. He joined the Australian Public Service about 3 years ago and manages the Methane Emissions Reduction in Livestock (MERiL) program involving Asparagopsis, 3-NOP, Agolin, polygain, and pro-biotics.

DCCEEW’s purposes include: driving Australian climate action; transforming Australia’s energy system; conserving, protecting and sustainably managing our environment and water resources, and protect our cultural heritage. DCCEEW’s roles include providing policy advice and delivering programs to support Australia’s agriculture and land sectors to reduce emissions.
