About the speaker: 

Stephanie has been active in fisheries and aquaculture for 2 decades. Her background lies in the legal framework of organizations & management. She had been managing the Belgian SME Brevisco for years. Brevisco has more than 15 years of experience in the field of maritime operations and aquaculture, more in particular in mussel cultivation in the North Sea. As a result she launched the mussels of the Flemish banks in 2021 onto the market. Stephanie has a critical spirit and focuses on collaboration, short value chains, local production, sustainability and finally organic development.

Since 2022 Stephanie is also actively involved with land-based seaweed farming. She strongly believes in seaweeds as the feedstock of the future. During Seagriculture Asia Pacific 2023 she will introduce you to SEACROPS, a Belgian producer of dulse.
